Melina Kanakaredes is an American actress who is best known for playing the detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS cop-driven drama "CSI:NY," and Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series 'Providence' and Dr. Lane Hunter on the The Resident, a medical drama'. In addition, she received high praise for her television debut role in the CBS soap Opera Guide Light playing Eleni Cooper. Her most notable movies consist of "15 Minutes", "Percy Jackson And The Olympians The Lightning Thief" and "Snitch". The actress is reported to be working on a movie adapting Elisabeth Kubler Ross' autobiography"The Wheel of Life. The film was produced by Vlas Parlapanides and Charley Parlapanides.
